ESU 10 Professional Developers plan, coordinate, and train school district personnel through a variety of workshops both at the school district and at ESU 10. These sessions are developed to promote the improvement of student achievement through the development of support staff, teacher, and administrator competencies.

Training topics are in five general areas: Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment, Classroom Management and Leadership. Specific trainings include:

  • High Ability Learning issues
  • Nebraska Continuous Improvement Process (CIP)
  • North Central Association (NCA) School Improvement Process
  • Crisis Team training
  • Anti-bullying/harassment
  • Positive Behavior Support programs
  • Instructional Theory Into Practice
  • Six-Trait Writing Instruction and Assessment
  • Response to Intervention
  • Reading Intervention Programs
  • New teacher training
  • Others as requested by schools or administrators.

ESU 10 Professional Developers also facilitate workshops on site as requested to meet district needs.
